Don't like it but I have never been politically correct.  also Happy Hanukkah (sorry if miss spelled it) The people of the Jewish faith are close to my heart, God Bless and Good night.

The Truth, The Rumor, The Lies And How It Is Today

Allot has made it's way into Christmas and it is time to set the record straight about Christmas and other holidays. In other words it is time to also stop the lies in what we celebrate as Christmas. First let me say first I am not a Grinch or anti Christmas but the truth be told I would prefer to see allot of things change.OK lets begin with a easy one. Nobody knows the exact day of the Birthday of Christ so we used a Roman festival day to make this about the birth of Christ. Yes we did but to blame a church or a group of churches for this is a bit silly. I did not get a vote in this and neither did you (unless you had a time traveller) you might have gotten a say. Some people love to point this issue out as solid proof that Jesus did  or does NOT exist. Really guys this is your justification? The first written record of Jesus was in or about 23AD where it speaks of him as a rabble rouse in Palestine. OK so we know he was alive but why did they replace his birthday with a old Roman holiday. Lets look at the time Rome was in horrible state of affairs as a people who once followed Pagan holidays were being introduced to a new faith or a Catholic faith. Some will say "Hold it right there some will say what do you mean a Catholic faith they were Christians! Strike two guys as in 33AD the sect they referred to as Christians called by the writer from Rome in the same paragraph referred to these Christians as their better known tag Catholics. In fact of the Western World faiths I challenge any body to prove there was another faith in existence at the time. You cannot as that The Catholic Church was the only functioning faith until Martin Luther came along. He later called these new religious followers "dung piles"' The birth date nobody knows for sure although some scientists hold that it was in August. Also by the by it is Christmas not 'Happy Holidays' nor Xmas. Even so we celebrate our saviors birth on this day so Christmas it is.
     It makes me sick to see what we have done to that day, Halloween is over and here comes Santa Claus! Thanksgiving was all but lost except to signal the beginning of "Black Friday". Yep Black Friday I am sure that he just loves 5,000 people in line to get 22 in stock 40 inch LCD televisions. The pushing, cussing, elbow throwing, and threats. So do you really think that is how God wishes his birthday season to begin? Or do you see a much quieter Christmas where presents are not the main focus but The Christmas Story.It is a rare day when my kids expect anymore that one gift. However it is always from their Christmas gift. They list three things they want and we get one of them. Sometimes it is allot other times not. So lets save the football game for football season not in a Best Buy of Walmart.
    Let's look at the forgotten holiday. President Lincoln in 1863 authorized a day of thanks to our Lord God a day of prayer and reflection. The only reflection we may get is "I ate too much". Of course the other version is hm mm will LSU beat Alabama. God is not some unfeeling being he loves us and perhaps likes a word of thanks for what he does for you all the year. A simple Thank You Lord is all you need thank God and the Holy Spirit too.perhaps in return he will give you greater graces to love him and do what task he has for you. Yet this day created for thankfulness and praise is all but gone. I really wish they would forget Halloween it is also no longer safe for our kids. 30 years ago it was safe not anymore. Sort of places a bad position any more on us. So rise up Christ exists in writings and is acknowledged as a teacher by the Romans, If you have a issue and state that is all Christ was or ever shall be I only have one question for you. Why would 12 witnesses all tell the same story except small changes to reach their audience. Why would any of these disciples go to their deaths without saying "wait it was all made up in order to survive and live". Yet all but one died I hope you take, time to ponder these thoughts. It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas

You would think after the events on Black Friday that this competition and wasA friends,Well it's via do feel a lot like Christmas as we skip farce selves away down the aisles of Walmart and Best Buy and all the other stores in the world we see the same thing every year kicking and shoving and pushing cutting off and just being plain rude. These are the words that describe the days before Christmas as we selfishly jump over registers diagrams product designs and people to get the last talking Elmo. And in the process of getting this last talking oboe we break what grandmothers are one grandfathers but to locals knuckles and a as wrist all this for a cheap red toy that talks.It ia said that to purchase you will see in the 12 days of Christmas you will need a little over $3000. But trying to maneuver through the stores is quite possible you'll also need a good health plan. It seems that I myself never learn I avoid Black Friday like it is the plauge. We've all seen the times when sadly many were trampled to death or dying in effort to get that 40 inch screen TV for $200. Do we as a society hold our lives so cheap as to lose it while trying to get a TV. We must remember that God who do us the very beginning of time has a purpose for us a mission for us to complete and you can bet it's not to die getting ran over by people for a $200 TV you would think that after the events of Black Friday all or most of the violence associated with Christmas shopping would be over. 10 years ago you bite a been correc Now it is only a start of one of the most most hateful and crime filled times of the year. To keep an example of one of the most ingenious crimes going on in El Paso. It's sometime. Dateline 19  December 201 A woman who was home with her pet dog heard the delivery man placed two parcels on her doorstep she had heard another person on her doorstep when she opened her door she found an elderly Mexican woman with her hands holding her packages. No longer do you have carolers Christmas plays one alone nativity scenes anywhere in sigh there once was a song because Santa Claus is watching y however it needs to do up-to-date nam how abo the ACLU is watching you.  Yes that's right folks build nativity scen and the atheist horde will burn you in effigy. Atime of Loving and sharing has turned into a season of Band-Aids and BenGay. N longer are the familiar words Merry Christmas  is it been replaced by either happy holidays or Merry Xmas. S as not to offend some twerp attempting to show his superiority to us all .although I find it funny when they say their rights are being violated by words like Merry Christmas or nativity scenes. Tey yell how we are trying to force our beliefs on them when in  reality if they win their beliefs are forced on us. A tickle received from a twitter user named I follow hate.

In the days of my youththere were no computers, but as the computer continued to advance on our society. I became aware of certain terms hate sites as they're called. I always thought where like the KKK or far right wing hate groups or possibly even Louis Farrakhan However, I found by some study that there is a twitter account called. I follow hate. I really sort of was intrigued by this, so I went to his site and tried to figure out what he considered hate was. Blessed found out that the reason she had me on his list for I follow hate was because I was following two twitter accounts. One on Catholic saints and the other on general news of the Catholic faith. I would have to challenge anybody who has read this site to show me anywhere. I invoke hate upon another human being. However, my message to I follow hate is very simple. Number one I live to follow your site because I literally think it's funny. Number two, who is to decide what is hate and what is not? Number three why are you fit to judge what is hate and what is not. That is something only God can do. And the fourth reason is putting a label on people just because they follow certain sites or they are of a certain faith is called bigotry. So I have a suggestion for our friend for life. Follow hate. Change the name, your site just put down. I am a bigot. This would be a far more true description of your site rather than what you try to pass it on to be.



 with this matter out of the way NowNow we will continue on to today's message. If you have not already noticed that these season of Advent is upon us. This is a joyous sky, the year. While we wait to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. However, there are a lot of great examples that are locked in to these four weeks. The first is much feed the Angel Gabriel approaching Mary Ann telling her that she would see a child he shall be named Jesus. But the demonstration of an unquestionable faith is what impresses the most. Mary have been told that she was going to be pregnant by the Holy Spirit as you would have a child in Jesus. She quickly replied but the issue is said for I am the handmaid of the Lord. That simple statement of faith. You have to wonder. Would you hear it. If an angel came to earth now and begin talking to someone about a project he would probably ask them. Am I on candid camera? Such a sign of faith commitment and courage is an example to all of us. What we are. Keep love also. I'd be that in the text of if you hear a saint asking you to do something or if Christ speaks to you in college your name, you say here I am, rather than set a new record for the new yard dash out of the room. I think most of us could agree that we would either be too busy to hear or be scared out of our senses. If something happened to us on this scale it happened Mary. On the night of the birth of our Lord the Angels would force to exclaim the good news could not go to scenes they did not go to the wealthy. They did not go to a king . They did not go to the police. Instead, they went to the poorest of the poor shepherds in the fields from his tie in the womb of Mary. He was already showing that he was not coming down to earth as destroyer or come down to force himself upon us. He showed us that he was not the rescuer of people with a lot of money in their pockets, but instead he came to show that the poor, the sick had new hope. So as each week of Advent passes, think of what was going on at that at the town of Bethlehem picture it in your mind. It will give you a feeling of joy in his coming. Share them with your children. They are great story for a cold winters night. They got keep the bless you through his eternal graces.

It takes one to make a difference

Greetings to allin time periods in America's history, we have been a nation that has come together in crisis. While the political debates go on as to the type and severity of crisis we are in. I believe we can all agree that the crisis that I speak of his ongoing crisis in America everyday crisis. I speak of is hunger and poverty throughout our nation and the world it is a scourge of the land that produces so much yet gives so little both to our nation and the world. Let me be understood that I had no way support the actions nor the goals of the occupy groups that have popped up all over for I do not believe a person unless in need in this nation. Has a right to live off the fruits of this land and not take part in the harvest. It has been said, both the written and verbal forms that a single act random kindness can change the world. I myself am lodging through this blog a request that those who read this blog perform at least once a week eight act of random kindness. I don't mean a random act of kindness you already do I've been a single act of random kindness that is new. That is not for your glorification. But God's glorification. Any act we do that leads us to look for approval as an act of self-glorification. However, a act done for the glorification of God is done at a much greater level of love that we ourselves cannot measure. It doesn't take much to do this, all you have to do is care enough about your brother who is down upon his luck a week's groceries to any man who has four children to feed and no way to feed them can seem like he has just received a bag of gold, I know because at one point of my life. I was there. Thanks be to God. He showed me a way out, Alice able to help others. As I was blessed. Like I said, this is not something that necessarily costs a lot of money you can go through your closets find old close that given to the church take provide warps and possibly even a suit for a job interview that can make a difference in one man's life. Or one woman's life. There are no dues to pay and there are no papers to sign. And no one's going to look over your shoulder to make sure that you're doing what you decide to do just be a person that could love and act for God's sake, rather than your ow Even a cold bottle of water can be a welcome gift to a homeless traveler through town. I only recommend that you do this in the area where people around not so they can see what you do but from for your safety. My goal is simple. If one act of random kindness can change the world and how much could 100 of us change the world how much change could we bring with 1000 people or even how much change to agree with 10,000 people. The change could be significant and it could be life altering for the poor in this nation and add us well as overseas. Many people fail to realize that many of the people most called bums out of the street are actually veterans of the US military. If you  because this is his work we might actually Fill a few seats in pews during mass, which would also be a great ask your friends, your neighbors to join along. There are already groups for me to the Northeast as well as Texas and the Midwest. The more people who will help by giving away old close Cold water maybe some groceries to a poor family will make a change in our nation and the world for good. If you're sitting back and read this and thinking I am not going to help some bum and I got mineand I don't share with nobody. Please don't join. This is meant for those who really want to do something for the less fortunate, but wish to do it for the love of God, not self. I have n to you if you. My plan or what I am planning to do as an act of random kindness. This week I have cleaned out my closet so we'll turn over usable old close to the church on Sunday. I have not scheduled activity the next two weeks but I will and I will be spending Christmas eve and Christmas day at the homeless shelter where I live. I realize has that step, many would not take like I said it could be a bottle water a week of groceries. It accomplishes the same thing. Jesus asked where were you and I was thirsty. Where were you when I was hungry. Where were you when I was naked and finally were you when I was in jail. To say no. These days is almost like letting go of a fart in an elevatoreverybody tries to find out who did it so they can respond to this persons indiscretion. This is because it is so rarely heard anymore were afraid of losing our friends so we don't tell them no. We want to impress our boss as well as impress people at church so still we do not say no. I should this point remind you all that statement. Get used to saying no. Are the works of St. José Maria  escriva. The commentary. However, is my own. Even to door-to-door salesman if his pitch is good. We find it difficult to say no to. We are to say the least a consumer driven economy as well as a nation that watches enough television to think we should always look 20 years old and not 40 years old. So we are a nation also stuck upon vanity and few think of the plastic surgery the body painting the makeup to cover up any deformities in their skin. So many of us rush out and buy the first electronic doodad you can find or get out to buy what some celebrity tell you you should buy. But let's stop there. Just a second saying you got home but it was a little late and besides, you have a killer date tonight. So you don't get to use either your new electronic doodad or the makeup it was recommended by a movie star. As it turns out it was a killer date and the next make up you will use will be put on you at a funeral home. So the put is simply the old rules stands that you can't take it with you. And as you really begin to understand how silly it was to purchase that the day before, and Jesus turns to you and says what I was hungry, you did not feed me when I was cold. You did not clothe me what I was thirsty you gave me no water and some will say when did I see you hungry when did I see you naked when did I see you thirsty And then you will hear the words we all dread the hear begone from me he Cursed , for I never knew thee. All of this happens because of the fact you could not say no.



No When you first start learning to say  buddy things begin to happen Funny Funny When you begin to develop. hen you begin to develop  the habit of saying no To beginFunny thing is begin to happen when you first begin to learn how to say no. A example of this would be like your your buddies from work ask you to go out and have few drinks after work, now of course you ask can my wife come? The answer of course is a resounding no, because it seems to be a male bonding experience to drink to get drunk and talk bad about your wife. Well, it is fortunate as I who enjoy having my wife with me you will tell them no thanks. However, they will keep asking for at least a month and a half before they tag you as some sort of outsider. You will find that you have less and less friends that hang around you, let alone even come near you. The same begins at your home less and less you're no longer with wanting to buy the newest electronic doodad nor are you wanting to buy whatever the goop that is in a bottle that swears it will help keep the young just like the models say. But also you begin to notice benefits you begin to eat as a family around the table also your wife becomes less than that person who fixes your meals and more of a friend. You begin to think more of others than yourself, and suddenly you find you're getting blankets to the blanket drive. So the poor will be warm. And you find yourself beginning to spend part of your Christmas handing out food to the less fortunate whether as a church, or as an individual handing out meals for those who have no home. The holiday season And let us get one thing straight between us. It is not a happy holiday. It is not happy x- mass. Plain and simple. It is Christmas. Right here is one of the best places in the best beginning to say no. After time you will get stronger and stronger and be able to say no  more and more frequently. Then perhaps you'll hear the words from Christ, we all long to hear which are well done thy good and faithful servant, enter into the joys of heaven

This is usually a very touchy situation because it hits close to the home front, But read on if you dare. This is a double edged sword to say the least. It allows for many ways to  have this sword  take a chunk of your witness and turn it to darkness. We all know we have two witnesses one is spoken the other is what people see and perceive.  If you leave Mass after it is over people see this and you gained respect. However if after that you are in a hurry to leave and you cut 3 people off trying to get out of the parking lot so you can get to Hooters and order crab legs and 4 beers (because you are behind. Your crowd gets really loud and you call a guy a a..h... because his opinion disagrees with you. After you stumble out the bar talking to anything that moves and your so plowed that you almost fall on your butt walking out the door. I somehow doubt anybody in the restaurant saying "Gee that was a really great Catholic group just look at that guy as he walks with God. Next week a person who was there that night you were is exploring the Catholic faith sees you and walks out." He says to himself "and that guy is in the front row?"

In today's world of television and digital cameras first impressions are usually accepted. You must remember that what people see are what they believe to be.  During Lent Some people wear their ashes while going to the store and restaurant. Wearing them because you want to show off that you are a Catholic is a foolish and self serving idea. However if you wear them to show God's blessings and his mighty works this is a different manner bringing the Glory to God by silent witness is great. course if you wear a crucifix every time you go out and do not cover it you silent witness everyday. However no matter if you are in a wheel chair,constant pain, offer up these to The Holy Mother or as I do offer them up to those in Purgatory. However wash your face put on nice clothing and carry a smile while keeping the Holy Ghost within you and the joy it causes. God wants suffering and pain hidden away so it does not become a spectacle or a side show to stop. So weather fasting, or showing repentance. Don't make a face or complain how miserable you are feeling. If you do this your reward is of men. If you keep it secret God rewards you in secret.

Have you ever ran into unexpectedly a member of your parish and they were being rude and abusive tool waitress . when you saw this what read through your mind was it good she's finally telling that lazy waitress off . or perhaps it was something different did you feel disgusted by their actions as say buoyed by the way they cuss you'd never know these people gave lots ability to the parish and sat front row during mass every Sunday. Congratulations you have just witnessed the biggest problem in the church today why is it that every Sunday there is always confusion as well as screaming adults trying to get out of the house to get to Sunday mass.of course always promised that you will do better next time.
Then of course y drive out of the parking lot. a A80 mi./h. to make it in time.to see. The Cowboys play. You get to your friends house. and depending on the score you either yell and screaming from a variety of cuss words that would embarrass. a sailor. or Os the Cowboys are losing
..you scream and cuss. twice as bad because every called by the referee if it is against the Cowboys is a bad call.. it Is at this point. of your Catholic faith. .That you  become a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. no Nobody watching that game with you any idea.whether. you walk with Christ or don't.

 as a Catholic our witness is in our actions sold by how we act and how we carry ourselves should always attest to the presence of God in your life.get we take this light of faith and tuck it away every time we are out of mass. it almost seems that we're ashamed of our own faith and don't want our friends to know about it. this This not what Christ intend for us to do with the many gift he has given us you cannot be ashamed of your faith in one part of your life and claim that you have faith in another part of your life tests just shows how willing you are to justify your selfish desires. in other words you place your ego in front of Christ. I have to ask what is it that make you you think you have that right.We must evaluate ourselves to see if this is one of our failures before Christ. then we must seek
for forgiveness in confession and then try our best to sin no more. . thank you and God bless you!

Due to our government not being able to put 80 company in a state

The one subject he did not hear a lot about today is the subject of euthanasia. This is duewhen the subject of euthanasia first came up it caused a near riot within the halls of Congress and the Senate and Obama's support for a while at least president Obama handed the keys to the candy store to the Republican Party. If you have ever had the experience of putting a pet to sleep you know that it is one of the most difficult decisions to make. Now it's just imagine how tough a decision it would be to euthanize a human being let alone a relative. The Bible states very clearly that God is the only one who decides on what day a year they pass from this world to the next. If you were working for the government at what age would you decide a individual has lived long enough and now is detrimental to society if he lives too long. So what age would it be in his 50s maybe but he still works doesn't he. How about 60 no that will not work because of the new retirement ages are up to 70 years old. Well then how does 80 years old strike you? Well while 80 years old looks good they say that people born today will live past the age of 100. Well Very well do it by age, so let's try to do it by medical cost. One in 10 US tax dollars are spent on diabetes in this nation. Yet researchers claim that in five years over 50% of Americans will have diabetes So shall we wipe out half the American population to determine a euthanasia sickness. Or shall we find another way or even another condition to place upon people that are no longer valuable to the human race. Honestly who could decide whether or not a person is deserving to be euthanized after having them Do we leave it up to the federal government to make that decision. After having them run General Motors into the ground as well as the United States. This not to mention Social Security Medicaid as well is our health care are all federal programs. All these programs were run by the US government and never turned a profit. They are known for the half million forms that must be signed for action is even taken. The action of euthanasia is a program that while hid in the same abortion bill does not have a place in American society. America was built on the fundamentals of faith in God and religious principles of that era. America is blessed beyond measure. But how long will God bless the nation that kills its unborn as well as the aged in our nation how long before we take the final step and pick a race and determined that race does not deserve to live. These steps have many similarities to that of  Nazi Germany. If we hit that point as a nation how long can we say God bless America.

The day before a day of thanks serious Catholics only.

This post will hopefully be shorter than most. However this post will be perhaps the most important I ever blog. Every year on Nov 2, we are given the privilege of voting. This is a freedom that should not be taken lightly nor ignored because this is your voice. I once stated that if every Catholic voted the same way every year the Catholic vote could control this nation. However this will never happen because so many of our faith vote but not how they should. Voting your faith is perhaps the most important thing you can do for this country as we now find our nation on the brink of both economic and social disasters. The approval of abortion was passed in 1973. Prayer is absent throughout or school system. We see daily people and groups forced to take down crosses and the Muslims and their faith are given more freedoms that of the Christians faiths. While were I live no religious t-shirts and no religious medals to include crucifixes. These are common where I love. So off we go for a quick run down on the five issues Catholic (serious only).

The duty of every Catholic to vote is clearly defined among church documents however there are 5 issues that Catholics must stand on. I didn't say if the Average Catholics felt like it. I said must consider as a major factor in their voting decisions. In fact the Catholic Church calls these the five non-negotiable items. Number 1 on the list is abortion. Tomorrow number 2' Have a wonderful Mass and Thanksgiving. But also remember to thank the one who all thanks and glories belong.

And now a word from a devout Catholic?

We all know that the Catholic Church has a canon law, this law which has been passed down during the entire history of the Catholic Church is meant to be to tell you what is required of you as a member of the body of Christ among several other topics. There are simple loss and there are more difficult laws the simple laws are going to confession once a year, no cremation at burial. Then of course there are the slightly harder ones that are largely ignored by our church today. Ladies and young women the obligated to wear a veil during services is one such law that today is largely ignored. Then there is even the harder ones no mutilation of the body this includes tattoos, piercings and other such habits.

These things we see every day are largely ignored by even the most devout Catholics. However because no one says anything does not make it correct nor even lawful within the Catholic Church. Jesus Christ it is days of miracles and walking the earth said one thing of importance he stated" render unto Caesar what is Caesar's render unto God what is God's. As a member of the body of Christ there are rules and laws that you are expected to obey and not ignore. One such law is the church's stance on respect for life makes no excuses  for the violation or the support of abortion.

A self proclaimed ardent Catholic Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi stated in life news yesterday that Catholics have this conscience thing. By this statement Congresswoman Pelosi is responding to the American   Bishops Council refusal to support president Obama's health care plan on the grounds that a provision of the document supported federal  money to provide for abortions as part of his plan.
If You will recall this is still the same Nancy Pelosi that accuse those standing against aabortion within this bill were willing to let women die in the streets . Congresswoman Pelosi went on to further state that she was a ardent Catholic and loved and followed her faith . I Somehow have trouble with the statement that she is a ardent Catholic .
 Ms. Pelosi has been a career in Congress  voting against the precepts of the Catholic Church , therefore I cannot confirm her statement . she further stated in the same article how she is somewhat bothered by the fact that American Catholics listen to the Pope and not her.your decision on that last statement I leave to you.
  So I have figured out we can all decide who we want to be and what we want to do I have decided if she can be a Catholic or a ardent Catholic I can be the Easter Bunny but remember to get your  orders in early I move a little slow these days. .
This serves as a great opening for us to discuss a subject that is on a lot of lips today. I mean of of course election 2012. Catholics however are caught by what some would call a catch 22 .  however the Catch-22 can be easily explained by looking back at the words of Jesus render unto Caesar what is Cesar's and unto God what is  God's. the few rights left is the freedom to vote this is given to you by he laws of the United States.  So you have the right to vote and the right too a right of privacy as to how and who you voted for however does Thia right. .
Apply to God? .sadly.For some. it does not. for to render unto. God . What what is we must vote . our faith so how can real Catholics vote for abortion . because if you do . no matter how you try

It is worth it

Hey all been away awhile and I am hoping things settle down enough to get myself organized and begin a regular schedule. A few things of note I will beginning a second blog soon it will not be so combative and more based on wisdom passed down by many Church leaders. I forsee a couple more times that the blog will be down (please pray for no blizzards in the Texas panhandle), I will be away from Jan 2 2012 to Jan 7 2012 Have to go to a Doc to get a disability rating. so heading to the Ellis Clinic. Also forgive any words not spelled correctly As I have gone to a laptop computer and began using dragon software. Great software if you do alot of letter writing or blogging. It costs in the area of 40.00 dollars but is well wotth it. Just a hint don't buy it off TV they charge too much Wally World has it at lowest cost. The last item is that we will be going over The Catholic Voters Guide, it discusses voting our faith. I will close for now and will maintain the folloqing blogging schedule. Monday thru Saturday I need to rest on Sunday as did the lord, and I feel that blogging on Sunday is not in accordance with God's desire for a day of rest. God Bless You.

With the coming of Advent and the upcoming changes in the mass we must take a breathand reflect upon the many things we have been blessed with the with the year. It is hard to conceive of society that does not take the time to offer thanks for all the blessings of been put upon during the year. Yet often this is what we see. I am of course talking about Thanksgiving. By October 1 there are many banners up to noting that it is time for Thanksgiving. Now I do not know what kind of night you have in your neighborhood come Thanksgiving but I do know that in my neighborhood Thanksgiving is all but gone as most adults do not wish to celebrate this event. But here is where the winter comes in as soon as the last piece of candy is sold up go the Christmas decorations. Now I must admit that I am no large fan of the commercialized Christmas that stocks our land. Pictures of cute little elves and Santa in his sleigh not to mention the happy elves working on toys is enough to set me to a migraine. I challenge each one of you to find a nativity set up anywhere you care to shop at. Unless of coarse you are shopping at a religious bookstore.





Now think how Thanksgiving is celebrated each and every year. Usually by November 20 you have your turkey already started to thaw. Though there are two schools of thought in the following statement one for women and one for men usually. That's does not say there are not exceptions to this rule. In the first instance one looks forward to cooking a large Thanksgiving meal in the same breath cries thought of the dishes the most who washed in the kitchen that must be cleaned. On the other side of the agenda is of course those who look forward to the football. They know that Thursday to Monday football games are on all over and their outlook is to lay back on the couch the like there's no tomorrow and watch football, however I would say if you are not used to these people do not stand in front of them during the football game. If there is a bad call that the person does not like and he has a mouth full of turkey sandwich. When he jumps up to yell about the call you could be struck by the turkey or bread traveling at 100 mph by a projectile called half chewed turkey. These type of injuries are perhaps the most common on Thanksgiving and could lead to blindness or at lease the thought of wearing some one's half chewed food all over your shirt or your face and Lord protect you, if you are caught between two or three of them because it the point of the bad call all three jump up and you feel you are being attacked with a machine gun. So there we are with our Thanksgiving. We have cooked, ate, watch football and even spent a few minutes praying over the food but we are about to eat giving thanks for it.

The courses begins the second part of Thanksgiving, some may call it Black Friday and others call it ridiculous. Another ridiculous part is people will spend four nights camped in front of a Best Buy in the attempt to lay their hands on a 40 inch LCD TV with the price tag of $120. Come rain, come snow ,come dark of night these people man their posts with a fierce grow at anybody tries to cut in line. Every year someone either get seriously wounded or killed as the store doors open up . But they are willing to face these dangers or a television set. This is sort of  what we have become very materialistic and heaven help anybody that gets  in the way.  I have two sometimes lower my head and pray as what people willing to sacrifice to get that TV. I have to wonder what the martyrs of our faith have to say about that. St. Joan of arc Was burnt at the stake. Many of the martyrs were stone crucified and beheaded for their faith For our faith we are willing to wait outside for a couple of days to get the one super deal everybody else there is looking for also. It could almost make a person cry .So there it is the new Thanksgiving celebration that forgets God but never forgets where the 40 inch LCD television is at.

It is amazing how much as a society we have changed when it comes to days of offering prayer and thanks the many blessings we have received throughout the year. gone are the days of the early church service and then a family all help to the meal well Thanksgiving is explained to the children of the house. the meal  is prayed over and the time of family togetherness  is a welcome relief from the daily grind which we all need on occasion . everyone takes their time of togetherness instead of  trying to stuff your face during the 3 1/2 min commercial break. Traditions are often the best way to pass down a small piece a family history and dinner time is also a great time to speak of God and family stories they can be passed down this is a good time to give children a sense of themselves as well as a sense of their Creator in this tradition is all too lost in the shopping and materialism of today . there are many events that I have not addressed yet and I will address them in future posts to come.
But I ask you.to open your minds and make a honest look at how you spend your Thanksgiving we will discuss other Subjects that. can cause. a Catholic To drink. Until then God Bless

Clap your hands except to that.......

Hey all,
Now I know some of you think I am going to tear into clapping for the band or choir after they finished their song at the end of Mass. Yes I know that clapping is not to be done in Church but this is not my subject today. Today I would like to talk about how through out life Christ shapes you. Now I do not mean by the Sacraments I mean by his hands. Ever look back with awe and think to yourself "Man I used to love that and now I don't" often it feels weird so we shrug it off. However should we? Or can we pray to God with great fervor and realize we are the jars he is the maker. For some this is a very tough thing to acknowledge in our lives due to the fact we like to think (with our I centered ego) that we run things and God is like the sports trainer and sits on the sidelines until called. If you carry this idea and only talk to God when you need something lose it! God is the head coach and we run the plays he gives us, now does this mean we are a robot? No because you are only really free once you have accepted that God runs the show. So yes you could turn away from God's advice and do your own thing "there is that ego word again" but I highly recommend against it. Each of us are human, Christ came to save us and to prove that a life without sin can be done. So when I say ego I do not always have to use the word ego because anytime you choose self over God you have used ego. I know better how to deal with this than Christ, Many will deny it because ego does not like to be exposed. You see if it can be admitted to and exposed it can be defeated. A deep examination should be under taken anytime you mind and heart present that ole feeling of "well I'm not that bad" or any such excuse dig deeper ego hides well in excuses and the lies we tell ourselves to make us feel good.

A little change of gears here on God being the maker and we being the jars. It begins almost unnoticed and we fail to see it for many years. You used to love that trike but it is headed for the trash when you get a bicycle. You like the bike because you can go further and explore more of the world. So realizing there is nothing you can do without God. At this very moment in your life he increases your exposure to the world so you can begin to see his mighty work. Years pass and other things do also, you want a XBOX with kinect instead of playing tag. why you may ask? simple everybody else is doing it. These are the most dangerous years of life. From 11 to 20 you will make some of the most important and challenging decisions of your life and many will take a toll on your own life. It starts as a "hey everybody does it man". This is when you face decisions on alcohol,drugs,pre-marital sex and how you learn to treat other people. It is also where you learn to be a sheep or a leader. A sheep wears everything the popular people wear act like them talk like the and even treat others the same as them. Being yourself and handing God the controls is so much easier it is something I wish I had done at that time. I was a bit of a loner in high school and to this day I am much the same. After many weeks in the mental and detox wards in the mental hospital I saw things that will have a lasting effect on me. I was there for depression many were there for addiction. I saw a 20 year old who thought nobody cared for him as his Mother put down everything he did and most of his friends did not want to hear of his problems. He was suicidal explaining to him in group that we was never alone was at times was difficult. However you would not believe the things we had in common it was Erie. So as I was sitting there we became a Band of Brothers, sometimes yes we have issues but we know that in this group we are never alone God is with us and we are with each of us always.

So you have a car and you avoided most of the snares of childhood and the late teen years. Your taste in music has changes 3 or 4 times as you went from what your parents liked to your early taste of music and then you settled. However if your over 50 please don't give me any of this rap stuff. it is pathetic to watch. Then you see her (the one) is it love or lust? If your divorced within 1-3 years yeah it was in all likely hood it was lust. Marriage is something God gave us that is very special and should never be ended by divorce. It is a time when two become one and yes you do change it usually is never noticed how big a change of life it is. If you are one of these party mongers who party every weekend and every night. You become after time more and more home centered and your party buddies fade away. Suddenly you have new friends and even with these new friends is a danger. Many "Born again" evangelical faiths seem to think you need to be rescued as a Catholic and try to get you to accept their faith. These are not friends they are glory hounds who will let the world know that they converted a Catholic notice I did say they converted not God converted. Sometimes it is sad to see but these converts go home to the Catholic Church because they just don't feel right. There is a whole deep inside them that must be filled and that is the Catholic Church.

What brought me to this point is no more that 5 years ago I was a solid country western fan, I liked all the songs that went to NR one and listened to the newest hits possible. Toby Keith was on the radio today (One of my favorites) singing a song called Red Solo Cup. I had to change to channel to a classic country station. This somehow said allot to me as I began to realize that I am not done yet and Christ is still working with the clay that I am. The changes in life are never hard to make because they often are never noticed. Perhaps if we see that Christ is still working with us and our race is not done we could all stand up and say enough and fix the near porn on TV the cussing in video games and release the hold that the world tries to pin on us so we may move deeper into a relationship with Christ. Dare we dream of a day that TV was like it was in the mid sixties. Or radio was like it was in the middle sixties. And every person was treated equally and judged upon their skills not the color of their skin. Amen I say Lord let it come let it come.

Finally back!

Hello all,

I am finally back from a beast of a stay in the hospital. Apparently I was suffering from a bad case of depression. If you have ever had it I need say nothing more. I am going to run a fine line between politics and faith here. As I have said Catholics have no business in politics but to observe is never a bad thing as unless informed we can all make a poor decision. I will ignore the Democratic side as they hold the oval office,  The Republican side is a big jumbo list of people. So here goes my handicap of the 2012 primaries and the who the next President will be.
Mitt Rommny - The current front leader of the herd, He is well spoken and has knowledge of most issues. His attempt at trying to create a social medication policy (like Obama's) is likely to drag him down by Jan-Feb.
Herman Cain- Loved this guy earlier on and was clearly second to Mitt in the run off. But with his terrible 9-9-9 economic plan was horrible followed by the accusations of sexual molestation has all but sunk him already. Yesterday he came in at third in national polls behind Rommney and Gingrich. He is already gone he just won't accept fact that he is done yet.
Rick Perry - Being a Texan it is hard to say it but Perry is already gone. Forgetting his 4th agency and then looking like a idiot before all America. He isn't toast just yet nah he is burnt toast.
Bachman (as much as I love her anti-abortion stance is done as are the rest). Everybody else accept one you must pardon me but I have forgotten them already. I still wish Rick Santourman was in there or got a massive attraction to his campaign but not going to happen. His VP chance is good and hopefully he will be in the mix.
Newt Gingrich- This is the man I expect to win. in less than 4 months the economy as well as foreign policy are going to be horrible by election day. Americans are (for some the first time) are looking at the issues and asking very direct questions. Newt Gingrich is the man just because he has the knowledge to fix it and put this nation back at the top in the list. Watching the debates he does not give in to these petty debate arguments he stands above staying above all the baloney and only when a how would you fix the problem does he reply. He gives facts and figures that add up to the end a answer that everybody understands. People like him but not at first he has to grow on you a second. Once there he ends up being the man. Now understand I am not saying he is your man actually nor mine but he will be the nominee.
I should say some about Ron Paul he is qualified and quite ready to be the next President. However if you read the polls behind the polls he is liked allot 58% approval rating. But if asked will you vote for him that approval number don't cook the turkey. He comes out with 22%. He is a self acknowledged rebel and people see him as a right wing isolationist wacko and will never elect him. I do promise back to the actual subject on Sunday.

A break for a needed hospital trip

Politics and The Holy Roman Catholic Church and a few words about MS Sarandons error in refering to the Holy Father as a Nazi

It comes every four years and starts earlier every year. Yep you guessed it the Presidential Primaries are on their way. The promises flow enemies are made and strange partnerships arise. But as a Catholic what is our role in politics? To my understanding my opinions are formed by reading the Bible and looking at canon law etc... It is a somewhat tricky subject. Many will hang me in effigy for my opinions but here we go. One caveat I do not speak for the Catholic church and have no authority to do so. What I do is pray and what comes to my heart I voice. With that said here we go.
In my humble opinion the Holy Roman Catholic Church has very little to do with politics. "Render unto Ceaser what is Ceaser's. Now this does not totally remove raising our voices to our Congress person when a bill is to be voted on that Catholics as a whole have a opinion on. Bills or this nature would include bills on Abortion, Education, the welfare of our old and young, euthanasia and bills that create a social policy that  The Holy Father finds either just or objectionable.
Let us take a look at one example. Please understand I do not take a political position in the coming statements. On my car sits a bumper sticker it is not kind but makes a very important statement. The bumper sticker reads Nancy Pelosi is a ardent Catholic and I'm the Easter Bunny. Still yet there is a less kind bumper sticker that reads Catholics who support abortion giving Christ a bad name since 1973. Yes these are harsh but the stated position of The Holy Roman Catholic Church states that abortion is the taking if a human life, so we can all call it what it is murder of a unborn child. 4,000 fetuses die by the cruelest means ever seen. They are basically torn apart by suction remember this is 4,000 souls killed each day. That is more people that died on 9/11. We hold memorials to them but who mourns the 4,000 souls? I know one who definitely does. In the Bible God states. I have known you before you were born and I know the numbers of hair on your head. Wow we as a nation are killing children who God has known for a eternity. As you see the Catholic has a right to opinion as long as it does not stand against the main teachings of the Church as I have just shown. This is far different than taking up a liberal or conservative cause that acknowledges violence and marching down the street being violent also. Satan offered Jesus the kingdoms of the world if he would bow before him. But Jesus sent the Devil away empty handed and rejected the power over all those kingdoms. It seems to me he was not real interested in politics. Some accuse Catholics just puppet what the Pope says. Catholics have opinions like anybody else however we are bound on issues like abortion, the death penalty or other such decrees of the Holy Fathers Church. Some don't like a new priest in the parish. Their opinion true but it should be kept to himself to not bring dissension to the Church. We are sitting here in this world but we are told not to be part of it. So politics is an arena we should leave alone unless we feel drawn by Christ to enter that arena to fulfill his desire to work with you to bring about his plan. Sometimes it seems so hard to escape this world and not be a part of it. When you feel this way remember you are human and all those bad things are still roaming around out there waiting to trip you up. When you trip pray ask God to help you in any matter he will never allow you to fall by these means. And if you do fall perhaps God is trying to teach you something or prepare you for greater graces so you may bring him glory in all you do.

I was going to stop here but a event occurred in the past 24 hours that is detestable in my view. Susan Serandon speaking at a film event called Pope Benedict XVI a "Nazi". I have to comment on this as I have a great deal of experience and knowledge concerning WWII. I have been in Berlin and spoke with many Germans about WWII as well as Hitler's rise to power. I actually had a chance to speak to a old lady who lived across the street from my base about Krystal Nacht. The night of the broken glass or long knives as some have learned was when he eliminated all opposition in a single horrible night or murder. She was able to hear the firing squads at Andrews Kasserne all night. If you have never seen a movie entitled "Swing Kids" I beg you to watch it. It is a very authentic view of the early Nazi movement and how kids who liked swing music from the US resisted being sucked into the Nazi nightmare. Service in the Hitler Youth was required of all German children male and female, To be so ignorant of this fact Ms Serandon comes across as both foolish and somebody who is desperately trying to hang on to the limelight. She is to be pitied not condemned. For we hate the sin but love the sinner but with a statement so vile I am hard pressed to do so. This is paramount to accusing President Lincoln of being pro-slavery for the first two years of his Presidency because he waited two years to sign The Emancipation Proclamation until 1963. Nothing could be further from the truth. In 1861 thru 1862 the north had many defeats and the poorest of military leadership. In the Battle of Sharpsburg the South's attempt to invade Maryland and gain support there was turned away and Lee was forced to withdraw. It was only then that President Lincoln had both the initiative as well as proof of ability to enforce this bill. So the one day Pope Benedict was forced as with all the other children to join the HJ (Hitler Youth or HJ as this was the slang term for it). Calling him a Nazi for having to do this is like declaring that all abortions are the fault of the child in the womb it makes no sense. I will pray for you Ms Sarandon that you may be forgiven. I will have allot to answer for before God when I get there. Thankfully this will be hers to answer for not mine.

I apologize if the post seems more disjointed than usual. It is so due to the fact of being human myself I was embroiled on anger at Ms Sarandon's statement. I will try to do better in the future. So that makes two actresses who.s movues will never be seen in my house Jane Fonda (My Father came home a disabled vet from Vietnam) and MS Sarandon's movies yes I do forgive them both however it is my choice to never put a dime in their pockets from my money.

Are you the mouse that roared or the mouse whispered?

First must apologize for being away so long but at times these times of reflection as well as a deep look into your introspective on yourself and your abilities in serving God can be life-changing. Today I would like to get started on the subject of whether we want to be a mouse that roared for a mouse whispers. There are peaks and valleys within our reach religious lives and in our faith that we must deal with. While these are not uncommon or even rare they do challenges from time to time to strengthen our faithor prepare us for a future task that Christ has for us to do. When we leave these times of spiritual dryness we are often fired up and looking for the task that is set before us. Just like those who make it through the RCIA program are also fired up to serve their God. In this sense they all want to do something great in the eyes of God and man so they can show just how fired up they are. These people are called the mice that roared. There are some who God gives graces to that are supposed to be a roaring mouse. You can see these people because every task they undertake turns to gold. However it should be noted that in all of these cases these people who can hit the home runs are people who do their tasks for the love of God and not to display before man. This is often where many new Catholics or many beginning Catholics make their mistake. They too want to swing for the fences but this is not the role that God gave them. their role is much smaller they continually try to swing of the bleachers and never hit the ball out of the infield. This can lead for many feelings of frustration, anger, unworthiness and can destroy their faith because they want to talk about their failures to those they know in church and can't talk to anyone else because they would not understand. So instead they quietly withdraw from the church and become one of the millions of Catholics who were no longer active within their faith. This is the evil ones favorite tactic to destroy a member of the church and render him useless. And useless to the body of Christ.

This is because in our rush to show God to prove to God and to those around us how great our faith is we often skip the one question we should always ask. What is your will for me God? It takes many players to make up a baseball or football team each has his own special assignment and that is why he's on the field. The player that is very fast usually bats first because he get on base and steal bases to get into scoring position. The second and third batters are both good contact batters with limited power their task is to get on base safely. The fourth batter is often the strongest and can hit the ball out of the park more times than not. Batters 6,7 and 8 are batters of usually limited abilities but can get on base to boot the rotation of batters around. The ninth better(no I don't believe in the designated hitter role) is usually the worst hitter of all the picture. He can't hit worth a lick but can prevent the other side from scoring and thereby help this team to win. A mouse roars is the fourth batter who didn't hit it out of the park more times than not God gives him the graces to complete his large projects and when he does them he will give the credit to God as wills the glory. Between the picture and the clean up hitter are usually the ones that led to the news paper. But remember the distinction between that home run hitter for the picture they do it for the glory of God not for self. Often a brother or sister unless they are very blessed claim their desire is to serve God and do so for these few there are no thoughts of self however often it is 100 times more the case that although they do not realize it these new Catholics or those who are new to the Scriptures are wanting to serve God and wave a flag screaming hey look what I did. In the remain in this frame of mind until a brother or sister tells him which is rare because the desire to not hurt them is stronger than his desire to correct him in love. So there is a failure on both ends and often this results in the anger and frustration of the new Catholic and often pushes him over the edge to where he becomes an ineffective Catholic as well as a nonactive Catholic. There are some who go through this period of anger and frustration and turn to God for the answers. It is here that they find they are one of the mice that whispered.

Being one of the mice that whispered is it first difficult and leaves the individual asking God if this service is the enough? For those that often wondered that I would like to introduce to you St. Therese the little flower of Liseoux

The answer to this is simple she was assigned by God to be a mouse that whispered into the smallest of things without notice or without praise. She served God with love in her assigned position and never wanted to be a mouse that roared. In reading the books about her as well as her own private writings it is known that she was content in her role as a mouse whispered and trusted God in all things.

The list of things you could do as a mouse that whispered is very very long and to try to write down every job we would both be asleep within the hour. But I do want to bring up a few. One of the greatest ones in my mind and it pulls at my heartstrings the hardest is to talk and bring company to an elderly person. I am sure we have all had the experience of an elderly person that basically talk carrier off and the lease at that time we were thankful to get away! These elderly who are talkative are often very lonely it matters not if they are an old folks home, a veterans hospital, in church or even just down the block. A few minutes of time that you can spare daily or even every couple of days to sit and talk to these people for them is gods greatest blessing. I ask you to pay attention to what I just said to them these talks are God's greatest blessing. Somehow being a mouse that whispered is not so unimportant anymore. The other possibility is to smile everywhere you go and treat every person you meet like you would want to be treated. I admit this is sometimes difficult when a waitress makes a error on your order but what does it cost you to be kind in your correction rather than to scream and yell and complain to the manager? Treat everyone how you want to be treated. It is not so hard to do once you get used to doing it. Another is to smile and tell people God bless you! Those who do not want that blessing will turn away and say nothing but to others those few words can make a bad day a good day because they know somebody cares for them. The last suggestion I have is difficult for some myself included so it is rarely I can do this. The next time you walk into a Denny's or a village inn or any other such type restaurant look around if there is a person in uniform possibly having lunch or dinner with his family ca a manager over and tell him that you want to pick up his check and ask him to make sure it is a anonymous gift. You never know whether or not that husband or wife or mother is about to deploy overseas for a year's tour in either Iraq or Afghanistan. Military families are some of the lowest paid people in this nation. However they do not do this job for pay they do it out of a sense of duty to their nation and the people of our nation. So it never hurts to pick up a check and free up a little money for them to use elsewhere. As I said being a mouse whispered doing something for God's glory and receiving no credit or even being noticed suddenly seems a lot more important than when we began this blog. God gives us graces to our abilities. But because being a mouse that roared sounds to our ears so impressive we swing for this go first. But if you would only step back and look at what it means to be a mouse whispers I think you could join me in saying. Lord God I thank you for the many gifts you have given us in the many graces that you stored upon us. I thank you Lord for making me a mouse that whispered. Help me with your graces to always be a mouse whispered for in this service I find that I may bring you many glories to your name. I asked this in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen

Part two of our three garbage in garbage out

When we first secure employment in our careers we have to realize that there are certain trade-offsbetween our morals and our need to support our families or our career goals. Trade-offs are wherever you find them if you are the lower end of the total goal trade-offs may contain training time with family to work often with no choice as you work in a secular environment you also must hear words, conversations, as well as the every day gossip. The issue here becomes if you remain according to your morals aloof from these conversations you will be seen by coworkers to being for lack of a better term stuck up. Being labeled such means that you are socially dead within your the working world or at least this job. So you must choose between your morals and the idle gossip of the world room floor and often the choice is to accept the idle gossip of the floor this is often our first surrendering of our morals on the job. However it does not end there there is also the social side of the work place. It is often popular for people to want to go out on Friday evening to drink down a couple beers, blow off steam and in this process you can develop two areas of difficulty. The first be spending time away from your family and taking money that could go for things you need and spend it on drinks instead. Therefore you sacrificed to morals time with family and stewardship money. The fact that alcohol is there leads to many other issues. It is said alcohol loosens, the tongue However this is not all it loosens. You also lose your ability of decision and your ability to control your own mouth. It is said in the Bible that what comes out of a man's mouth comes from the heart. Alcohol in moderation is fine too much alcohol is not. Good. If you are intoxicated and without your ability to control what you say there is the obvious chance will offend someone or let go of information from your life that you would rather nobody knows about. The problem in this situation is what you release in a intoxicated state will be turned against you at a later date. We has humans take great value in being liked. So much so that we are willing to believe that when we are part of the social group everyone within our group likes us However the next time you feel this watch what happens when one of the group goes to the bathroom. He becomes the subject of conversation and nowhere is there now a kind word instead anything that can be used to reduce his stature is brought out. When he returns from the restroom it is back to everybody being friends. If you think this never happens to you for lack of a better term you are a fool. At work everyone puts up a front they want to be head of the pack or in the know so they can trade information for brownie points with management. Management for its part condone such behavior to find troublemakers, dissenters and those who they feel are disrupting harmony.

     The main point is that if we hold our morals we are soon social outcast and many will want you removed from your position. In management the issue is made twice as baas there is a level of politics within management. This is caused by competition to rise above the current level of managers around you and those seeking to replace you. In the management political world you tell your boss what he wants to hear and at every possibility you kiss his rear. This becomes a way of life as well as a survival skill. Those who cannot develop such skills are doomed to failure. It is rare in today's world for a manager to promote you simply on the basis of hard work. Managers are expected to be the first in and the last out family time all but dries up. Perhaps this is the price we pay for giving up one of our most basic command of humility. It is said by one of our greatest church doctors to remain small. To not seek power for ourselves but to do the little things of God perhaps this is why she is called Little flower. I also believe that this is why many are not happy in their jobs trading morals for advancement and position goes against the very fiber of our Catholic beliefs.
time that our physical losses on our body are replaced by a tenfold increase of wisdom within our brains and spirits. My only wish is to learn this fact sooner rather than later.
     In a world of impure thoughts and selfishness we must remember that we are not of this world. The world we see full of pornography vial language and sell over others is not a world that any of us wish to be in. Yet Christ has sent us to this world to be a light shining as a lamp in a very dark world. Last night it was reported on the news that New York City had over 30 gunshot deaths in one day. Chicago also had the same issues but to a lesser extent. most of those killed one wounded were teenagers and children who had never been shown the light of Christ. we all including myself must do a better job of spreading the gospel of Christ to the young of this nation so that they may repair all the damage we had  done. in the past 100 years were less we have gone from the world of caring for others to caring for ourselves only. I am sure that when Jesus looks upon what we have done with this world  he  cries. we will all answer for this great injustice upon our fellow man between the ages of 20 and 50 we are capable of changing the world in one way or another . the majority of us let this time pass until we cannot change anything . however I believe that with God all things are possible and we should not give up this fight to change our world to a world of  love of others and denial of self no matter our age no matter our situation no matter our political convictions. We can no longer as a member of the body of Christ have one leg in the secular world and the other in God's kingdom we must all make a choice I hope that those who read this make the correct decision is not difficult all we must do is the little things and if we all do the little things love will spread selfishness will die and all shall come to the realization of Christ and his Grace and mercy and love for us all.

Garbage in and Garbage out Part III

Hello and welcome to Part III Garbage In Garbage Out.

The first part or part I of this series was about dissension within the Church as well as within The Body of Christ. The second part was a look at what our children face in the secular homes and with school systems that are liberal biased and directed to teach the state directed knowledge tests. In Texas we know this as TAKS. The third part is going to be a little touchy because nobody (not even I) like to look at themselves. So for tonight take a second be honest with yourself and understand by the time I am through I will be mad at myself enough for all of you plus myself.
     Early on in this part I am going to use specific examples of times of our lives. If I do not cover your particular circumstance it is because there are so many variables. I will try to point out where variables set in. At some point most of us plod through High School and eventually graduate. Weather a GED or Diploma all the same. We (some of us) take the summer off to prepare for our charge into adulthood, the whole problem is most at 18 years old are in no way ready to handle adulthood. By the number of children who are killed yearly by driving drunk I do not believe a teen is ready for adulthood until 25 for a male and 21 for a female. I am not being biased at this point nor is my wife hanging over me with a huge frying pan. It is a known fact women mature faster than men (just ask your teens auto insurance guy!) So most end up in one of four places. The first is the military (not as popular as it used to be with a war on and such) but usually this ranks about first over all. The second is school either at Community College or at a University. The third is off to the working sector to try and begin to learn a living. The fourth is on your parents couch thinking what you are going to do (later on) to determine how your life will go.
     This stage usually lasts about four years and gives some each time to form what kind of world we live in. Usually in these four stages (unless Dad's boot ended plan number 4 as stated earlier) exists one big common ground problem for us at this time of our lives. It goes by many names but they are all the same drinking,partying or chilling with friends. Now there are exemptions from this. If you are in the military and deployed (sorry no drinking until you get back stateside). At this stage of life for me my Father gave me a choice military,school or working and moving out. I tried the school thing but I was not interested in school at that time. This was the time of the Iranian hostage crisis (yes I am that old) but for the younger here. The Iranians when Khomeini came into power attacked the US embassy and held a large group of Americans hostage for over 500 days. All I really knew was they had our people we looked as if we were going to war and I considered it my duty to my nation to be there. There is a old saying the apple falls not far from the tree. My Son saw 9/11 and the Twin Towers fall he made up his mind that day that it was his duty to his nation to join the military and he was in the Army thirty days later.
     They all have the party and drinking thing going, sadly some die in senseless auto accidents or at a party because you did not wear the right color of clothes or were just picked at random so some drunk jerk could prove just how macho he was. I knew a young man I had worked with him in the Post Office before I was injured. He lived a life of fornication and payed child support at the age of 22 for four children. He liked to party and since it was allot cheaper to drink in Mexico that is where he went every weekend. His said he was going on one weekend and everybody warned him not to. The drug gangs were in a hot war against each other (this war continues today) and it was very dangerous. He ignored the warnings and went. sometime Saturday night he was standing with friends in front of a night club when a car came by and fired over 200 shots at the bar. Everybody who was outside died of gunshots he never stood a chance, it was front page news and left four children without a Father and a new casualty count for the year. It was senseless and a waste of life, yet the same things happen here every night and nobody notices it because we are all numb (we will deal with this in part four).
     If we survive this time in our lives (more do than don't) we are considered young adults. Now at this sad stage there are two trails one leads to family, less drinking and a course set for our lives. The other is taken by those who just want to stop growing up. This leads to continued drinking,usually one divorce and allot of hurt people in their path. You will know who took the second path they are usually loud,often drunk and trying to prove they are just as much macho at 35 than they were at 18. It is during this time that we find out about the great mystery. No not girls, but close. One night we are out be it at a club (hopefully not) or at a friends house or just walking down the street and wow! Clocks stop time halts and you could swear you just saw your idea of a angel from heaven, the last point has yet to be seen. Next thing ya know you are married and this is where the fun begins. It does not begin any earlier because you are single and the only person you have to worry about is yourself.
     The first year of marriage weather you have a child or not is tough. Those little things that when you met your wife that were by her words cute. You know staying out with the boys until 3am and coming home roaring drunk, How you just tossed your soiled under ware in a corner and let it stay long enough to be a national monument and of course you were having "relations" about 5 times a week when you were engaged and this has trailed off to 1 or 2 times a week or zero if you were one of them who came in at 3am. It is these marriages I really wish there was a 18 month rule to have your first child. That way if your prince or princess turns out to be (in your eyes) a servant of the evil one. There would not be a child to suffer through and live with a divorce. Sadly much too many children live with this situation, often with the missing spouse not offering a dime to help raise his/her child.
     This is where one group has to wait on the other. Once a person meets his/her future spouse and it works (usually the man got wiser like in my case). Before you know it you have a child and now it is not just you anymore it is now three Husband,Wife and Baby makes three. This is where also the real garbage begins to flow at the force of a river and not just a trickle. So you begin to set on what will be the course of your life. You seek a profession not a job and benefits become just as important as salary. It is at this stage we begin to compromise. There are a million first steps. Perhaps it was fibbing a bit on you resume or you compromise a value to earn a living and become a stripper or drug dealer. Either way there is always a first step. You already know enough about lying to earn a masters degree in the subject because your parents taught you with such cute little sayings such as "just tell them I am not here" or the ever famous "Just tell Grand Ma that you love your lime green pajamas complete with footsies and bunny ears. To keep in training you have been telling your significant other that they are more beautiful than the day you meant them, a better answer is always you love them more than you did yesterday. The great thing about love (and perhaps it is because we as Catholics take it so seriously no matter how you look. Love makes you the most beautiful thing they have ever seen. When I was married I weighed in at 162lbs my Wife was 98 lbs. I won't even tell you at what level we tip the scales at now but I can assure you it is allot. But to me my wife is a supermodel and who knows how she sees me but we are together so it does not matter.
     So you now think you have set your course (Hopefully God is in your Marriage) if not it is allot tougher. You have lied on a application or tweaked your resume or if you are a type A person your family is second to your job and your desire to get ahead. Your Children see you only at night you are gone too early to see them in the morning. At night when they hope for time you are tired, have work to do, frustrated to the point of anger (please remember not to take this out on your family) or are too worried about money,trying to get that promotion or there is conflict with your spouse's family. So the children really don't see you at all except in passing. This is not true of many but if you are lucky enough to get time with your children don't waste a second because each is precious. I once spent 4 months on a job as a manager where I was gone before my children got up and got home far too late to see them when I got hope. I was working 18 hours a day at times more and I continued because money was most important in my life at that time. I worked until I actually physically and mentally collapsed and came close to death. It was not until I rejoined the Catholic Church and began to learn family values and the importance of having God there that I learned how actually stupid I was. I missed allot of days of my children's life and have regretted every minute horribly.

Garbage in and garbage out. part II

In our opening we first discussed those who dissent in the Church and therefore hurt the body of Christ which is each of us. United we can accomplish great things and perhaps bring a new wave of people to the Church. Divided we will fail as we cannot fight among ourselves and reach out effectively to others.
     The second area of Garbage in Garbage out occurs slowly you have 12 years to spot it and what it does to your child and to millions of Children nationally. Schools are in my humble opinion the worst spreaders of Garbage we face. Now this is not to say there are no good teachers there are. But most have become powerless in a system that demands they teach a skills test and that is it. Here in Texas having spoke to many teachers they are deeply upset that they are forced by the government to teach all year for a test called (TAKS) that determines if your child passes on to the level. It was supposed to improve education, but all it has done is leave a bunch of young adults counting on their finger unless the register tells them what change to give.
     It in my opinion is the bastion of the Devil. Our children are forced to watch the President make a half political speech on television and forced to learn to respect all peoples (which is good) unless such people have anything to do with the "G" word. Nope no God or Jesus Christ allowed. The very principles our nation's beginnings are wrapped within the loving arms of God and Christ. We must recognize Kwanzaa,Ramadan and Hanukkah but Christmas is not Christmas it is the holidays the holiday season. We cannot even have Christ in our celebration of our saviors birth.
     Discipline is nonexistent in the schools as the students run the schools and know there is nothing the school district will do because of lawsuits by parents who are that in name only. The language used in school is horrible and worse it is now used in the open against anybody who does something they do not like. This language is so horrible a sailor would almost cry at what he saw. 13 to 15 years old and parents take no action as they push through a crowd of the elderly and speak words that are so horrible the disrespect drips from them. Another proud achievements learned in school. Cell phones,texting and drugs are all areas of deep study by our young. Then we have specialization oh yes we do, it is called. sexting,cell phone recording of beat downs and of course forced prostitution as a way to pay for drugs they now are dependant on. From every corner we are allowing a minority liberal association and atheists to push God out of this country forever, They try so hard that now "God bless America only shows up on the side of our coins and no where on Federal land. How much longer can we say with a ounce of truth "God bless America".
     We have lost our God as a nation and our pride for what she once was. Don't think so? Go to a baseball game and see how many stand for our National Anthem. We spend 14 billion dollars a year on everything from Dog foods, dogie jackets, dog snow shoes, to scratch posts and toys for any other kind of pet. Yet in the West Texas area alone it is estimated that 2 out of 3 kids go to bed hungry in just this part of the nation and in this speck of the world.This did not count the areas in Mexico where the drug wars make many more kids go to bed hungry. We have Cell Phones, texting, video conferencing. talking clown heads that take our lunch orders and televisions tell us where to find love and scrubbing bubble foot washers. And finally the intranet where 69% of the pages are dedicated to pornography, putting child pornography at anybodies finger tips. And there are millions more others who are looking at this stuff than any amount of Priests pointed out by the enemies of the Catholic Church or have we forgotten Swaggart.Oral Roberts and so many others that preach their own wealth by telling those who listen if you give me 500 dollars God will bless you with 3500 dollars. Religious leaders are men not perfect they have no super powers only what God has granted them. and nobody has a right to paint a label on an entire Church body for the sins of the few.
     This is by far the largest Garbage in file you children must deal with because added to the above we have peer pressure and changes in the body due to hormones and the transference from child to adult. The question is how do we replace some of this garbage. Allot depends on what your situation is. If you are home during the day and retired try home schooling where you can place God back on top at school and not have anyone say no. You can teach the basics like you were taught. English,reading,math and science as well as citizenship. You control the discipline as well as the language used and can teach good ole fashioned respect for the elderly as well as for their God and Country. If time fails you try a good Catholic church or one that teaches your faith. If money fails you there is always ways that can  help you out such as economic discounts and work study things. Where you could clean up the school a night or two and this pays part of your tuition. Third both you and your kids need to get into Church pray together discuss together and shut down the boob tube awhile you might find you like it better. Serve God and do his will as a family. Feed the poor,clothe the poor or just hand a bottle of super cold water on a hot day. Tell others God bless you, some will say nothing but still you have asked for a blessing upon them and it is there. Many are thankful for the blessing and offer one back. What a wonderful gift to give somebody.
     Finally just be a DAD or a Mom and listen and be there. Rebuke sin with love and gentleness because they have not learned many of the way that the enemy throws sin at you. The best part you don't have to be perfect to any of this. All you must do is love you children. Show them the correct path to follow so they never walk of the path or deny God and you have given them the greatest gift of love there is. A chance to be a servant to God and by his mercies and graces they may share eternity with Jesus. Jesus died on the cross for our sins. He rose to give us all eternal life. Can you do less for your own kids.  Part III next
    

What goes in comes out. Part 1

I have began allot of thought lately concerning what computer geeks use to say junk in junk out. First let me apologize for being away from the blog for those who do not know of did not read the story I suffer from extreme depression as well as stress,anxiety and PTSD. So there are days when I just do not get to my computer due to this condition. However with the last of the disability battles winding up there will be more time.
     Junk in junk out was a term used by computer geeks to denote that whatever info you put into a computer the same will come out. Bad date gives you bad data. If you put good data you get good data back. A man who's books I love reading Archbishop Fulton J Sheen would I am sure have a witty way of putting it but even as I watch his TV program Life is Worth Living he states the same thing just as the Bible states you can't put a bunch garbage into yourself and maintain a truly Christian spirit as sooner or later the garbage you put in will come spilling out.
     This rule applies to any part of your life. The Body of Christ (the church) must support each other as well as our Priests and Nuns all the way to the Holy Father any detraction from this can cause division within the Body which is a case for serious sin. When you enter as a member of the Body of Christ as part of the Roman Catholic Church it is a take all or none proposition. You must follow the Holy Father and the teachings of the Church completely and to treat your Church like a Cafeteria line where you can pick what you like in the Canon Law and disregard what you do not like. In every Church no matter what faith there is one. The one who liked the last Priest better and complains this one is too new or speaks more on sin and Hell than on little fluffy bunnies that come out in the night to magically do your laundry for you. Most of the time he.she is listened to quietly and gets a nod of the head as the victim tries to make their getaway. The question arises should he/she be rebuked? In full honesty I would pull the person to the side and point out the folly in a Brotherly way. This is not done with a I am better than you attitude or a self-righteous attitude. However any act that injures the Body of Christ injures all as we all make up the Body.
     The theory that any one of us as members of The One True Church. As members of the Body of Christ. God's one true Church has a right to accept what teaching they want to follow and disregard any that we do not like we can just throw it away is a bit ludicrous. Are we putting ourselves above God? Do we know so much more than God that we know better than he who gave us the Church what the Dogma or Canon laws must be. I pray that we never do such a heresy but sadly it is all to common today as many Catholics continue to murder children through abortion or contraceptives. And please do not let the word contraceptive fool you. It still kills the life that was created bu use of spermicide and other sources. Either way abortion is caused there is no difference. I can tell you through self examination that self-justification for sin is our favorite excuse it also places a large shadow upon our ability to see our own faults and a magnifying glass to see others faults. Once I got by this self justification stuff I am almost convinced that if I am lucky enough to make Purgatory I will be the last one out.
     I also note that many people in their attempt to seek religious education keep on confusing themselves however slightly by reading religious studies books from both the Catholic and the Evangelical sides of the issues. This has created almost a mini following throughout the church of what some term Charismatic Catholics. If you are one of these I am going to upset you by telling you there is no such animal. This is a attempt to combine Pentecostal beliefs with Catholics. So lets not mix oil and water because in that mix Our Holy Mother is lost along with all the saints. While not trying to smear any religion it should be stated that anybody who believes one visit to the alter to accept Christ into your life takes care of all sins and guarantees heaven. is living in fantasy land as such a contention cannot be biblical proven. Where's the love??

Not more than three weeks ago the Dodgers and Giants played a three game series in Los Angelas. If it had been a normal event I would have said so what as when it comes to sports my interest rates are near the level 0f studying pond scum. What did get my attention is that it seems three Dodger fans jumped a Giants fan and almost killed him. His future progress is up to God at this point, Today during a preseason football game with San Francisco and the Oakland Raiders three were wound one fighting for his life right now after being seriously beaten in a bathroom. The second man was shot in the stomach 3 or 4 times as he drove his vehicle to a gate and collapsed trying to get help. The third was in serious condition.
     A new term has entered our vocabulary where "beat downs" has became a hot item on the list for young teens to do. These are usually race related and people are picked by their skin color and nothing else. It usually involves 5 kids beating one child within a inch of their lives, This has now become such a issue cities like Chicago,Newark.Philadelphia and Miami. Now there are some who will say "so what it is inner-city and the victims are white while the attackers are black. But shake this out of your head it does not matter who is beating up who what matters is that such a thing happens. This kind of hate seems to be ruling our nation and yet out of all the options we have hatred is our least desirable.
     Our Public School system is nearly devoid of any type of discipline. Our children run around in High School exposed to drugs,pre-marital sex, Teachers protected by a system of makes those who have tenure almost impossible to fire. Teachers that because of interference no longer cares about his and her job. Evolution and science are the classes of today as any mention of God or Jesus must not be used to avoid offending atheists or Muslims. Not to mention that now we need classes to help us realize that not are Muslims are bad, I believe a four year old student could figure out on his own. Our youngest children in public schools are given books like Bobby has two daddies and Mary has two Mommies. We do not allow Christ or God onto schools yet we acknowledge Kwanzaa, Black history month and Mexican America awareness month. In other words instead of teaching that we are all God's children.
     Our nation has never been so divided and frightened at the same time as people are loosing thousands in retirement funds and many wonder if their is going to anything left for those who are retiring. Politicians are withholding funds to make the Government work.at the expense of the peoples interests rather than helping them. Every political party wants to make a statement as to how their plan to fix the economy is better than the other guys. Meanwhile people who can least afford higher costs are faced with food rates up 26% higher than last year and fuel that has hovered from 3.25 to 5.00 per gallon. This means making a job search almost impossible. The math is simple if you are trying to hang on to your house and car and feed your family very little is left for Gas.
     People are pulling their kids out of public school system by the drove full and more and more people has lost all faith in anything Government or even each other. We are suspicious and mistrusting of anybody who comes into our area. On top of this instead of sending tractors and seed and fertilizers to help nations we assist to eat and help their medical people to end disease and inoculate people against sicknesses. Instead of this we send corrupt governments who deny food to their people and to let those of a wrong religion starve to death. We also give them birth control to stop the rise in their populations and our world is not even near of running out of space. So as a Government we allow our nation to suply7 ways for people to be starved and murdered and many more to die of disease and to top it all off we give them a way to kill their children.
     What in the world could be going on that a world that only 50 or 60 years ago could rely on his neighbor to help raise a barn or just to fix a car. We treated our elderly with respect for the wisdom they had and paid homage to our veterans. and called our land blessed by God.. Perhaps there lies the problem to all the issues of society. We have watched a minority group of people work very hard at removing God from every coroner of our lives. They got it out of school and government buildings and has even moved it off the top of our coins to the sides of them. Our President does not salute the flag of our nation.
